About Me

Dry Roses and Diary

My Journey With Stories

I was born in India and moved to the UK in 2001, carrying with me a love for stories that started in childhood. My father’s bedtime tales transported me and my brother to magical worlds where anything was possible. Those moments ignited my passion for storytelling, teaching me that stories have the power to captivate, inspire, and connect us in profound ways.

 Writing: A Lifelong Companion

As I grew older, journaling became my way of exploring emotions, navigating life’s ups and downs, and finding clarity. It felt like a trusted friend—always there to amplify happiness, bring comfort, and turn overwhelming moments into something meaningful.

 Co-Founding Author In Me

In 2016, I co-founded Author In Me, an independent small press, with a dear friend. Our mission? To empower people to share their voices through storytelling. We’ve guided countless emerging authors from idea to publication, helping them experience the transformative power of writing—not just as a creative outlet, but as a path to self-discovery.

Creating a Space for Stories
AIM Literary Festival

Publishing books wasn’t enough. We wanted to create a vibrant space where diverse voices could come together, spark conversations, and inspire change. This vision led to the launch of AIM Literary Festival in 2020, a dynamic event where writers, readers, and industry experts connect in powerful ways.

Mentoring Young Writers

I’m passionate about helping young writers find their voices. As a creative writing mentor and programme curator, I design engaging resources for children and collaborate with authors to bring their ideas to life. Seeing those stories take shape and knowing they’ll make an impact is one of my greatest joys.

Books with Purpose

I believe storytelling is a tool for resilience, self-awareness, and empowerment. My booksShine Like a Star – A Book of Affirmations and Santa Wants a Makeover, encourage children to embrace their individuality and celebrate who they are. My upcoming picture book, The Gift That Gives Back,  weaves themes of responsibility, courage and environment conservation into storytelling, inspiring kids to care for our planet.

A Love for Nature, Travel & Mindfulness

Beyond books, I find inspiration in the outdoors—whether it’s walking through forests, feeling the ocean breeze, or simply soaking in the beauty of the world. Travelling fuels my creativity, reminding me of the richness of cultures and perspectives. As a certified mindfulness practitioner, I’m fascinated by how being present and enjoying little miracles of daily life enhances well-being, and I love weaving this philosophy into my storytelling.

I’m also deeply passionate about conserving trees and giving back to the planet that inspires me so much. Every year, I contribute to tree-planting initiatives, supporting reforestation efforts and playing my part in preserving the environment.

 Science, Stories & Stronger Self

With a Master’s in Science and a deep curiosity in neuroscience, I love delving into how the brain processes narratives and how storytelling can be a powerful tool for resilience, emotional growth, and self-discovery. I share my perspectives on my blog.

With the advancement in science, it is now scientifically proven that our minds are wired for stories. Stories help us make sense of the world, build connections, and even influence our mental and emotional health. By blending scientific understanding with the age-old tradition of storytelling, I aim to create transformative tools that nurture mental well-being and develop a stronger sense of self.
